Bitola has a rich
culture life. A international festival dedicated to the Manaki Brothers is
one of the three festivals in the world which value the contribution of the
camera, as well as the role of the director of photography in the designing
of the film art. The creative work of the brothers Yanaki and Milton - the
first cameramen in the Balkans is undoubtedly rich and significant. The
cinematographic history of Macedonia started with them. The program of the
festival included feature films from the latest world's film production.
Besides The International Film Camera festival "Manaki Brothers" several other International festivals are held in Bitola, such are: "Interfest" an international festival of classical music; "Heraclea Evenings" - a summer theater and music festival; The International Triennial of graphic art - Fine Arts event of an international importance, registered in the family of the world graphic institutions; Festival of folk songs and dances "Ilindenski denovi"; Youth Festival “Bitola Open City”; unique painting colony for children "Bitola's Small Monmartre" - which entered in Guinness Book of Records because of it's biggest collection of children artistic works. Hotel Epinal has been a permanent gallery of the participants of the small Monmartre of Bitola.
