We
advise you to see the excellent surroundings of Bitola such as the National
Park “Galichica”, which is only 40km away from our Hotel, and enjoy in the
panorama of the both natural lakes Prespa and Ohrid. In one of the most
authentic villages Malovishte with its untouched nature, you can still see
people in national costumes, try the old Macedonian specialties, and visit
the beautiful monasteries of St. Ana and St. Savior and the church of St.
Petka. You also have the opportunity to visit the Monastery of “St. Jovan
Bigorski” (XI century), a great cultural monument, 95km from the Hotel, and
many other natural and cultural treasures.
Ohrid - City of UNESCO, an immortal town on the shores of the Ohrid Lake -
one of the largest biological reserves in Europe with its unique flora and
fauna. Centuries ago in this region heavenly icons and mosaics were created,
splendid frescoes painted, manuscripts written, and one of the world's first
universities - the Clement Slavic University was established. Some of the
testimonies of the past centuries have survived to the present day: - The
Tsar Samuel's Fortress (XI century) - 3km of towers and high walls.

- One of the most photographed churches in the world, St.
John Kaneo (XIII century), on the unique cliff Kaneo.

- The cathedral temple of the Ohrid archbishops, the
church St. Sophia - a frescoes gallery from XI century. Her west-facade
architecture gives a spirit to exceptional performances of "The Ohrid summer
festival". - The Ancient Theatre (Hellenistic - roman period) with its
sensational monumentality. - Museum complex of St. Clement (XIII century) -
the Gallery of icons, collection of more than 30 icons, one of the most
valuable in the world. - The national museum "The house of Robev family" -
numerous artifacts, archeological heritage and sculptures from the
prehistoric time, ancient period and mediaeval Ohrid, found on archeological
locations in the old part of Ohrid and its surrounding. - Monastery complex
with the church St. Naum (XVI - XVII century, present church) - Old plane
tree (Platanus Orientalis), 800-900 years old with a trunk 20m wide. |
